Neighborhood Studios 2012—Application Deadline: TOMORROW (May 11) Neighborhood Studios is an award-winning youth apprenticeship program offered to students in the Greater Hartford region aged 14-19 who have a strong interest in the arts. The Greater Hartford Arts Council works with five partner institutions in Hartford to run an intensive 6-week summer arts apprenticeship program that includes a $100 weekly stipend. Summer Youth Theatre Arts Program—Deadline: Jun 1 Newington Children’s Theatre seeks kids and teens aged 8-15 to apply for this five-week, full day program from Jul 2 to Aug 3. Participants learn and strengthen their musical theater skills by working with acting, dancing and music instructors in preparations for a fully-staged production of the musical Annie. Historic Restoration Fund Grant—Application Training Workshops: May 22 & Jun 13 Historic Restoration Fund (HRF) grants provide assistance for the rehabilitation, restoration or stabilization of historic buildings and structures that are owned by municipalities or 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(13) nonprofits.
