LOCAL ARTISTS PARTICIPATE IN BIG RED FOR THE ARTS
The Greater Hartford Arts Council will mark its 45th anniversary and start of the 2016 United Arts Campaign at Big Red for the Arts, featuring food from the area’s top restaurants, wines and spirits from around the world, and, for the first time this year, an arts showcase by community artists including veterans and hospital patients. Arts Council Awards $10,000 in Grants to Support Arts Programs for Local Veterans
The Greater Hartford Arts Council has announced the recipients of its 2016 Arts + Wellness Grants. These grants, supported by UnitedHealthcare, were given to four local arts organizations to produce programs that use creativity to enrich lives and enhance the health and well-being of veterans and their families.
