Concluding a Legislative Career: From Public Service to Private Life
Tue. January 26 – 12 pm

The start of a new legislative session in 2021 begins the annual changing of the guard as some legislators retire and others arrive to begin their service.

Join four retiring legislators – Speaker of the House, Rep. Joe Aresimowicz (D) 30th House District; Leader of the Senate Republicans Caucus Sen. Len Fasano (R) 34th Senate District; Rep. Gail Lavielle (R) 143rd House District; and Rep. Russ Morin (D) 28th House District – as they reflect on their years in Connecticut’s General Assembly. How did they get involved in politics? What are their proudest accomplishments? What are their plans for the future?
