Zephyr Trio presents: Time & Memory
Sunday, October 10, 3-4 p.m.

A light and beautiful trio performance with piano and two flutes, the main focus of “Time & Memory” will be a work entitled “Au dela du temps,” by the contemporary French composer, Yuko Uebayashi, in which she explores aspects of time of day. Other works include “Two Flutes on the Loose, in Fujian,” by the contemporary American flutist/composer, Gary Schocker. Click here to register. Click here to register.

Choir Matrix Women’s Ensemble & Women of Concinnity
Sunday, November 14, 3-4 p.m.

The Women of Concinnity and singers from Choir Matrix Women’s Ensemble collaborate to uncover a wealth of choral music that illuminates the voice that can emerge from “Within constraints”. The performance will include music of women from 17th century Europe, who could only compose within the convent and songs that give insight to the social constraints experienced by the poet or composer. Featuring songs by Hildegard Von Bingen, Isabella Leonarda, Florence Price, Ivette Rodriguez, and more, including the live premiere of a composition by Melissa Dunphy. Come experience art that can blossom even in moments where it seems impossible. Click here to register.

Sunday Sonatas for Cello & Piano
Sunday, December 12, 3-4 p.m.

Sunday Music Series favorites Julie Ribchinsky (cello) & Linda Laurent (piano) have selected a program contrasting the “Sturm und Drang” of middle period Beethoven with the Impressionism and post-Impressionism of Debussy and Nadia Boulanger.

Performing together since 1982, Ribchinsky and Laurent were core members of the Chamber Players at Trinity, and The Connecticut Trio. 2021 marks the 27th season of their musical association with The New Britain Museum of American Art. Click here to register.
