Museum & Me: Playdates with Art

In this program, parents and caregivers learn how to share art with their babies by recognizing and responding to signs of visual stimulation. Led by Museum educators and docents, Museum & Me features guided gallery explorations and a sensory play session. Parents and caregivers will participate at every stage, so come ready to enjoy a special museum visit with your little one. Your Museum admission is good all day, and includes a “coffee break” during our play session. Strollers are welcome, and the spacious Stanley Works Center for Education & Community Development will be available for the duration of the class for anyone needing a break with their child. Front carriers are suggested for babies. For questions, please contact Hannah Kruger, Coordinator of Youth Studio and Family Programs, at (860) 229-0257, ext. 220, or krugerh@nbmaa.org.

“I meant to tell you how much we enjoyed the class. The docents were wonderfully attentive and informative, and the tactile experiences were terrific for my 6 month old. I was so happy the museum welcomed us.” – Mother of a Museum & Me participant
