  • Wethersfield Academy for the Arts 431 Hartford Avenue Wethersfield, CT, 06109 United States (map)

Instructor: Iconographer, Marek Czarnecki
Gold fills us with awe. It is so beautiful and practical, we use it to value all other materials. It is eternal; it never fades or rusts. There is no substitute for it. Owning it guarantees ultimate earthly power.

Participants will learn the history, uses and meaning of gold, the different formats and grades of gold; the tools used to handle gold leaf, and finally its practical application. Also includes demonstration of how to make paint from gold, called “shell gold”, and the two basic techniques for applying gold leaf.
