New Voices Fellowship
The New Voices Fellowship program is an immersive experience in arts administration for aspiring arts administrators of color.
New Voices is an immersive experience in diversity, equity, inclusion, access and justice (DEIAJ) and a fellowship program intended to help diversify the field of arts administration.
Ten organizations will participate in a 6-week virtual cohort training program and will be matched with a New Voices Fellow. Selected organizations will also be matched with a New Voices Fellow.
New Voices Fellows are aspiring arts administrators of color from the Greater Hartford region, who will be selected and provided an introductory arts administrator training prior to their fellowship. Fellows will have the opportunity to work in the field and gain exposure to a range of professional activities at arts and culture institutions during a 12-week, paid fellowship experience.
Host organizations are:
Providing the building blocks for future career possibilities
Helping to grow the creative career pipeline for aspiring arts administrators of color in our region
Strengthening and expanding the reach of their organization
Strengthening the leadership skills of their staff and board
Gaining new insights, perspectives, and ideas for their organization through new perspectives their fellow brings to the table
Committing to actively working on diversity, equity, inclusion, access and justice
All host organizations participate in an intensive 6-week Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Access, and Justice (DEIAJ) cohort training program prior to working with their fellow. This training program includes group discussions, homework assignments, and a one-on-one coaching experience to dive deeper into their organization’s DEIAJ work.
