Behind-the-Scenes Tour: The World of Work

  • Connecticut Historical Society 1 Elizabeth Street Hartford, CT, 06105 United States (map)

11am-12pm and 2pm-3pm

Next time you’re at work, take a look around. What kinds of stuff do you see? Here at the CHS, so many of the objects in our collection tell stories about work and labor. From inkstands to typewriters, axes to power tools, the things we use (and the way we use things) to make a living have changed over the years. In this program, you’ll go into collections storage areas at the CHS and see some of these items for yourself.

$10 for CHS members, $15 for non-members. Pre-registration online is strongly recommended; spaces are limited. Ticket includes admission to the museum’s galleries.

Cost: $10 for CHS members, $15 for non-members.
