Have you ever wondered what it would be like enjoy a choral concert underneath the stars?
Join us for a special live in-person celestial choral performance “Stars are for all who look up?”, featuring Connecticut's versatile vocal chamber ensemble, Voices of Concinnity, with special guest Unitus Ensemble, at Charter Oak Cultural Center in Hartford on April 9th at 7:00pm. Celestial projections will accompany reflective and thought-provoking choral music about the night sky in their beautiful inside performance space, including works by Erik Esenvalds, Laura Mvula, Saunder Choi, Fanny Hensel, Marques L.A. Garrett, Claudio Monteverdi, and more.
Gazing upon the night sky can inspire us to write prose, compose songs, or find spiritual connection. Did you know that not everyone has access to viewing the night sky? An excellent pre-concert virtual panel discussion (free to attend) exploring the equity of accessing the night sky will take place on March 31st over Zoom, hosted by Charter Oak Cultural Center. (please visit our website for information on attending this virtual discussion).
Cost: $15
