Born in Cheshire, Connecticut, John Frederick Kensett created paintings that capture the intense beauty of landscapes across the Northeast and reveal his ties to the Hudson River School. Listen in as paintings conservator Allen Kosanovich takes a closer look at the recent conservation of Kensett’s Coast Scene with Figures (Beverly Shore) (1869) and learn about the processes involved in conserving historic oil paintings.
