Acrylics is a fun medium that can be used to create a variety of paintings. It dries quickly and colors can be layered, and it provides easy cleanup.
Lavender is a soothing and calming plant of medium to dark purples. We will paint some distant buildings behind a field of lavender. We will paint the sky and buildings in the background first. Then we will then use Fan brushes to create the effect of the purple lavender plants in the foreground using layered colors of pinks and purples.
This painting may seem difficult, but we will simplify it by using the Fan brush technique.
Christine will provide several examples on the board and there will be paper setup on the side table for practicing your skills.
This is a beyond basics course. Some experience with acrylics is recommended. Basic drawing skills are suggested, but a template for painting will be provided. If you’ve tried a paint night before, this is the next step up!
All materials are included, but we suggest bringing a painting apron or a large shirt to wear.
Cost: $45 (all materials included!)
