JOHNATHAN MOORE

Johnathan Moore is a gifted cellist born in New Haven, CT. Part of a musically inclined family, he received 1st Place in the Yale School of Music Solo Competition during his junior year in high school playing his original piece, “Journey”. Johnathan attended Southern Connecticut State University where he majored in music. He was awarded multiple scholarships from the Stutzman Family Foundation and won the Mike Moss Memorial Award For Excellence in Music. He has played with the New Haven Symphony Orchestra as a soloist at both the Shubert Theatre and International Festival of Arts & Ideas. Johnathan has also performed at New York’s Guggenheim Museum as well as Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall.

The Living Room is an intimate concert experience that brings local musicians, visiting artists, and the Greater Hartford community together for an experience that feels like home. Curated by Erica Tracy Sullivan.  Thanks to the Greater Hartford Arts Council.
