In conjunction with the Milton Avery exhibition at the Wadsworth Atheneum, learn and practice the art of painting en plein air (in the open air) in the Hartford area where Avery spent his formative years. Accomplished landscape painter and instructor Susan Leggitt leads the weekend workshop. Each day begins with a demo and conversation about capturing the emotional and sensory dimensions of landscapes. The two-day workshop begins at the scenic Wethersfield Cove followed by a day in lovely Bushnell Park, Downtown Hartford. Bring your own materials and lunch. All media are welcome.

Registrants can tour the Milton Avery show free of charge on Friday, May 20th. Details provided upon workshop registration.
