Hartford 27XX
Tyrone “Zerosnake” Motley
The future in Hartford.
“The main character reflects the surrounding community, Afro-Latino culture. He is stylish, adorned with accessories that show his personality and place within this futuristic world.
The mural is interactive. With the paints I used, some will change depending on the weather and time of day. After painting the base layer, I used paints that react to direct sunlight, as well as paints that transform at night. These paints dry clear but reveal different features based on the conditions.”
Tyrone Motley created his mural “Hartford 27XX” in partnership with the Greater Hartford Arts Council. Thank you to Carlos Mota for the partnership in providing this canvas.
